    • Embodiments of this application provide a multi-lead electrocardiogram detection method and an electronic device, which detect acute myocardial infarction and the like in a timely manner by using three electrodes. The method includes: obtaining potential signals of surfaces of two upper limbs and a lower limb of a human body and six equivalent positions on a chest of the human body in response to a user operation, and determining electrocardiogram signals corresponding to twelve leads based on the potential signals. The user operation is an operation that first and second detection electrodes are in contact with the two upper limbs of the human body, and the third detection electrode is in contact with the lower limb of the human body and the six equivalent positions on the chest in sequence. The six equivalent positions on the chest are six positions obtained after six preset positions on the chest move in directions of the two upper limbs by a preset distance. The preset distance is a distance between a center point determined when the first detection electrode is in contact with one upper limb of the human body, the second detection electrode is in contact with the other upper limb, and the third detection electrode is in contact with the lower limb and a center point determined when the first detection electrode is in contact with one upper limb, and the second detection electrode is in contact with the other upper limb.
