摘要： The invention relates to a mechanism for locking a pin for personal ornaments, which is capable of safely and reliably locking an ornament to a subject, such as clothes. A mechanism for locking a pin for accessories is characterized by comprising a personal ornament main body having fixed to the back surface thereof a single pin body consisting of a rearwardly extending base and a front end portion bent from the base to extend along the back surface of the personal ornament main body, a groove open to the front surface to receive the base of the pin body, and a holder member having a pin body holding section formed crosswise to the groove to receive the front end portion of the pin body with almost no clearance left therebetween.

The needle (35) is provided in the vicinity of its tip (35a) with a curved portion (35b) diverging from the ornament (32). According to this structure, the ornament can easily be fitted or removed by operating the lever (38). The curved portion (35b) serves to prevent unexpected fall of the ornament from the place to which it is fitted.

The chain retaining portion preferably protrudes from the brooch body, once mounted. The invention provides a relatively simple and compact latch that may be used with both a brooch and/or a pendant.
