    • A trim assembly includes a first trim member and a second trim member, each including an aesthetically-pleasing surface and a substrate-facing surface. A plurality of circumferentially-arranged projections extends axially away from substrate-facing surface of the first trim member. The second trim member includes an aesthetically-pleasing surface and a substrate-facing surface. A circumferential projection extends axially away from substrate-facing surface of the second trim member. The circumferential projection includes an axially-extending portion and a radially-extending portion. The radially-extending portion extends radially outwardly away from the axially-extending portion. The radially-extending portion forms a plurality of circumferentially-arranged passages configured for receiving the plurality of circumferentially-arranged projections for joining the first trim member to the second trim member when the plurality of circumferentially-arranged projections are at least partially disposed within the plurality of circumferentially-arranged passages. A trimmed assembly is also disclosed. A method for forming a trimmed assembly is also disclosed.

    • A press machine for attachment of eyelets including a simple die configuration capable of allowing the user to easily carry out an eyelet attachment process on a table. The press machine includes a die having a rest room for receiving a washer fed from a washer box, a guide hole vertically formed through the rest room, and guide means for guiding the washer to the rest room, a table received in the rest room in such a fashion that it is vertically slidable, the table serving as a punch die for punching a cloth to be attached with eyelets while serving as a support for supporting the washer received in the rest room during an operation for attaching an eyelet to the cloth, a rack vertically mounted to a lower surface of the table in such a fashion that it is vertically slidable through the guide hole of the die in the rest room, a drive motor adapted to provide a drive force to the rack, the drive motor having a pinion engaged with the rack, and a control unit for controlling the drive motor. An eyelet is also provided which has a configuration capable of not only allowing the eyelet to be firmly attached to a cloth without being separated from the cloth due to an external force repeatedly applied to the eyelet or cloth, but also allowing the eyelet to be made of a material containing a large amount of polycarbonate.

    • A grommet has a female member and a male member. Each member consists of a sleeve with a flange formed at one end. The sleeve of the male member is slightly smaller than the bore of the sleeve of the female member. A locking mechanism for the grommet consists of an annular groove inscribed within the inner surface of the sleeve of the female member and a slightly-offset, matching annular lip formed upon the outer surface of the sleeve of the male member. The annular groove and annular lip are offset so that the two members remain in tension, pulling toward one another when the grommet is locked in place. The grommet is locked in place by inserting the male member into the female member and urging them together until the annular lip fits within the annular groove. The grommet may be disassembled by placing a dowel or like object against the non-flanged end of the male member and striking the male member or otherwise applying a force thereto. The flange of the male member and the flange of the female member may each have an annular indentation on their respective bottom surfaces that separates each bottom surface into an outer annular bottom surface and an inner annular bottom surface. This indentation allows each flange to flex slightly and creates a snug fit of the flanges against the side of a partition, wall or other surface through which the grommet has been placed.

    • The invention relates to two congruently snappable half-shells (4, 5) which can be combined so as to form an eyelet, particularly for trimming a hole (3) of a textile material (1) or similar. The two half-shells (4, 5) forming an eyelet (6) mutually engage in a locking manner on both sides. One of the two half-shells (4, 5) comprises a plurality of spikes (17) in the area of the separation plane (E-E) thereof, the tips (19) of said spikes (17) dipping into a circular ring channel (18) of the other half-shell (5). A torsional stop is created between the two half-shells (4, 5) with simple means while maintaining the advantageous basic spikes/ring channel principle by providing the two half-shells (4, 5) with a peripheral contour that deviates from the circular one, said contour comprising at least one tongue (23) which extends outward in a radial manner from the center (x-x). One of the half-shells (4) encompasses a spike (24) in the area of the tongue (23) end while the other half-shell (5) encompasses an associated plug-in cavity (26).
