    • Spherical microphone arrays capture a three-dimensional sound field (P(Ωc, t)) for generating an Ambisonics representation (Anm(t)), where the pressure distribution on the surface of the sphere is sampled by the capsules of the array. The impact of the microphones on the captured sound field is removed using the inverse microphone transfer function. The equalisation of the transfer function of the microphone array is a big problem because the reciprocal of the transfer function causes high gains for small values in the transfer function and these small values are affected by transducer noise. The invention estimates the signal-to-noise ratio between the average sound field power and the noise power from the microphone array capsules, computes the average spatial signal power at the point of origin for a diffuse sound field, and designs in the frequency domain the frequency response of the equalisation filter from the square root of the fraction of a given reference power and the simulated power at the point of origin.

    • A system and method for interfacing multiple SoCs (System on a Chip) to a single, shared memory device are provided. The system and method of the present disclosure provides for controlling the downloading of operating code to two or more SoC controller circuits sharing a memory containing the operating code and a common communications bus, where each controller is a master controller of the communications bus in normal operation. The system and method involves sequentially controlling access of each of the controller circuits to the communications bus to allow each device to separately download the common operating code. The system and method utilize a separate initializing circuit or device along with chaining the controllers together in a series such that each controller be held in a reset state to prevent communications bus access until the previous controller in the chain has completed its code download.

    • The present invention relates to a digital signal reception method and apparatus. Said digital signal receiver comprises a Common Phase Error removal unit for eliminating CPE contained in the received signal by using CSI corrected pilot sub-carriers; a channel estimation unit for estimating channel state information of the received signal after removing the CPE and feed the CSI to the CPE removal unit, and a means for generating the CSI corrected pilot sub-carriers by multiplying the CSI with 1 or −1 according to positive or negative sign of the local pilot sub-carriers only in response to continual pilots of the received signal. Said method comprises estimating the CSI of the received digital signal after removing CPE; and eliminating the CPE of the received signal by using the CSI corrected pilot sub-carriers, whereby a low complexity and high accuracy are achieved.
