    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a locking button easily detachable for the length adjustment of a core element by providing a slider member provided with slider teeth on the outside and fitted to one end of the flexible core element for transmitting operation, and supporting the locking button to a housing for supporting the slider member slidably. SOLUTION: A slider member 18 provided with slider teeth 20 on the outside and fitted with one end of a core element (cable) is assembled into a housing 22 slidably along its longitudinal axis. The housing 22 can be connected to a control member by a connecting part 24 formed of a C-shape clip, and a locking button 34 is fittingly fixed onto the upper opening side of the housing 22. The locking button 34 is of U-shape and has button teeth 36 to be meshed with the slider teeth 20 in a lock position, and a pair of tab legs 38 and shelves 40. The shelves 40 are held by hands and pushed together toward the end faces 48, and inclined parts 58 are passed through from lateral beams 56 to make the locking button 34 detachable.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent generation of feedback from a steerable member to a steering wheel by transmitting torsional force from the steering wheel to the steerable member through a push-pull cable in a transmission condition, and preventing the torsional force from being transmitted from the steerable member to the steering wheel in a lock condition. CONSTITUTION: A steerable member 14 is driven by responding to the pushing or pulling force of a push-pull cable 22 responding to the rotation of a steering wheel 12 in a helm assembly 20. The helm assembly 20 includes a clutch mechanism 28 operatively-connected to a steering wheel shaft 18, and the clutch mechanism 28 prevents generation of feedback of torsional force from the steerable member 14 to the steering wheel 12. The helm assembly 20 also includes a drive mechanism 30 operatively-connected between the clutch mechanism 28 and the push-pull cable 22, and the drive mechanism 30 responds to the rotation of the steering wheel 12 and drives the push-pull cable 22.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a low profile power drive assembly for conveying articles along a conveyer path. CONSTITUTION: A low profile power drive assembly 10 for conveying articles along a conveyer path has a single cylindrical roller 22 supported by an eccentric shaft 32. A first drive motor 26 and a second drive motor 26' are operatively coupled to the roller 22 so as to synchronously rotate the roller 22. A position in which the roller 22 becomes free, is located at a lower retracted position. When the first and second motors 26, 26' apply drive torque which simultaneously occurs at the roller 22, the roller 22 is raised up to a lift-up operating position, and is engaged with the bottom surface of an article to be conveyed. A clutch 28 for controlling a vertically upward force applied to the bottom surface of the article on conveyance is located inside the roller 22. The assembly 10 can be arranged in a standard roller conveyer 12 in a conventional aircraft loading conveyer device.
