    • A terminal fitting apparatus and a connector with the apparatus are provided to prevent insertion resistance from being increased by contact between a front end of the apparatus and an upper wall of a cavity, thereby making the apparatus smoothly inserted into the cavity. A terminal fitting apparatus(T) is fixed to an end portion of a wire and then at least partially inserted into a cavity of a connector housing. The terminal fitting apparatus includes a main part(20) of a substantially tubular type into which a mating terminal is at least partially inserted, and a wire connection part prepared behind the main part so as to be connected to the end portion of the wire. At least one rounded portion(33) or a taper portion is prepared at or around a front end portion of the main part with respect to an insertion direction(ID) of the terminal fitting apparatus into the cavity, and at a base side of the wire connection part.
