摘要： Optically active liquid crystal compounds represented by general formula (I), wherein A and B each represents -O-, II, III or IV, wherein "-" represents a direct bond, one of R1 and R2 represents a straight-chain alkyl group, and the other represents an alkyl group containing an asymmetic carbon atom or an alkoxyalkyl group having an asymmetric carbon atom and an ether bond, with the asymmetric carbon atom having one of -CH3, -CN, and -Cl are disclosed. Many of these liquid crystal compounds are revealed to show a SmC phase in a wide temperature range around room temperature and perform a rapid response.

摘要： A technology for providing electronic apparatus with immunity against static electricity, such that the circuits will not be erroneously operated or damaged due to the electric field, electromagnetic waves, or inflow of electric charges. There are provided electronic apparatus in which the capacity between the active side (2) and the input line (4) is selected to be smaller than the capacity between the pull side (3) and the input line (4) relying upon the contrivance in the pad layout of IC, pattern layout of circuit substrate, or capacitors, the metal housing is not connected to the active side (2), and the grounding is not provided. The electronic apparatus exhibit perfect immunity against all of the phenomena caused by the static electricity such as the inflow of electric charges into the network accompanying the discharge of static electricity, electromagnetic wave noise having high energy, and electric field under the charged condition not accompanied by discharging.

摘要： A compound vapour spray nozzle (22) is made narrow, and a valve is provided between the nozzle (22) and a compound container (12) or (37). A heater (53) provided on the compound container (12) or (37) is operated to spray low-pressure compound vapor on a sample locally in a vacuum space. This enables the provision of a mask repairing apparatus which is capable of controlling a rate of spraying of compound vapor easily, preventing a non-object portion from being contaminated excessively and prolonging the service life of an ion source. This mask repairing apparatus may be provided with a plurality of nozzles to enable the compound vapor to be sprayed uniformly even on a recessed surface of a sample, and the free end portion of each nozzle may be made axially movable to enable the nozzle to be brought close to a desired position, and a total quantity of discharged compound vapour to be thereby reduced.
