CONSTITUTION: A silicon-containing encapsulant composition comprises 30-60 weight% of an epoxy resin, 30-60 weight% of an acid anhydride hardener, 0.1-30 weight% of a carbinol siloxane resin forming uniform mixture with the epoxy resin and the acid anhydride hardener, and 0.1-5 weight% of a reactive UV absorber reactive sterically-hindered amine photostabilizer. The epoxy resin is selected from an aromatic epoxy resin, cycloaliphatic epoxy resin, or silicone-modified epoxy resin. The acid anhydride hardener is selected from methyl hexahydrophthalic anhydride or hexahydrophthalic anhydride.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoanode adjusted by a porous semiconductor layer that absorbs more than two kinds of sensitizing dyes continuously, and to provide a dye-sensitized solar battery using the electrode, and a method of manufacturing the battery.SOLUTION: A photoanode of a dye-sensitized solar battery is adjusted by a porous semiconductor layer that absorbs two kinds of organic sensitizing dyes. One organic sensitizing dye is represented by the following formula (I). A difference in the maximum absorption wavelength between these two kinds of organic sensitizing dyes is more than 50 nm. Thereby, the photoanode can absorb a solar spectrum in a larger wavelength range. The dye-sensitized solar battery using the photoanode has an excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency.
