    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoanode adjusted by a porous semiconductor layer that absorbs more than two kinds of sensitizing dyes continuously, and to provide a dye-sensitized solar battery using the electrode, and a method of manufacturing the battery.SOLUTION: A photoanode of a dye-sensitized solar battery is adjusted by a porous semiconductor layer that absorbs two kinds of organic sensitizing dyes. One organic sensitizing dye is represented by the following formula (I). A difference in the maximum absorption wavelength between these two kinds of organic sensitizing dyes is more than 50 nm. Thereby, the photoanode can absorb a solar spectrum in a larger wavelength range. The dye-sensitized solar battery using the photoanode has an excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency.
