    • PURPOSE:A solution containing monoethylamine as well as aminoacids solution resulting from hydrolysis of various proteins, is applied to leaf surfaces of tea trees in the period from their seedling to plucking several times to improve the quality of green tea, thus producing high-class tea with high natural palatability. CONSTITUTION:A solution containing monoethylamine and/or monomethylamine and aminoacids solution resulting from hydrolysis of various proteins is applied to leaf surfaces of tea trees in the period from emergence to plucking. The amine absorbed from the leaf surface binds with glutamic acid in leaves to form theanine (glutamic acid ethylamide) and glutamic acid methylamide (GMA), savor components, thus enabling the biosynthesis in leaves of these compounds which are usually formed only by biosynthesis in roots. Further, aminoacids are absorbed through leaf surfaces to permit increased harvest of high-class tea easily. The ratio of amine to aminoacids is preferably 1/5-1/2 by weight.
