    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve switch efficiency improving the problem of compatibility.
      SOLUTION: A plurality of personal computer (PC) hosts share at least one USB peripheral device by KVM switch and its work method. The PC hosts directly exchange with USB peripheral devices by a switch module. Further, the KVM switch includes a micro-process unit and a USB controller. When the KVM switch switches different PC hosts, the KVM switch intervenes that USB peripheral devices are set by specification of a setting information command used in USB transfer protocol, and changes so that USB peripheral devices receive signals which a PC host which identification information represents sends. As a result, when the PC hosts perform switch operation, the PC hosts need not identify the USB peripheral devices via steps of each device each time.
