    • The present invention provides a method for fabricating a ferromagnetic single crystalline metal nanowire using metal halide as a precursor and a ferromagnetic single crystalline metal nanowire, and more particularly a method for fabricating a ferromagnetic single crystalline metal nanowire on a substrate by heat treating a precursor located at a front portion of a furnace and a substrate located at a rear portion of the furnace in an inert flow atmosphere and a ferromagnetic single crystalline metal nanowire fabricated by the fabrication method. In the fabrication method, since it is possible to fabricate a ferromagnetic single crystalline metal nanowire by vapor phase transport method without using catalyst, the process is simple and reproducible and high purity nanowire containing no impurities can be fabricated. Also, since a passivation layer is formed on the surface of the nanowire, a stable ferromagnetic single crystalline metal nanowire which is prevented from oxidation can be obtained.
