    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a wear in the initial use so as to aim at reduction of labor for readjustment by forming the tip end part of an adjusting screw in a semi- spherical shape and forming the slant upper surface of a groove in a circular bend equal to or slightly larger radius than that of the tip end part. SOLUTION: An adjusting screw 16 is screw-mounted sideways from the outside on the upper part of a carburetor main body and a tip end part 17 projecting in its suction passage is formed in a semi-spherical shape and so arranged as to fit in a groove 14 to touch a slant upper surface 15. By turning this adjusting screw 16 for making the tip end part 17 to advance/retreat, so as to change its contact position to the slant upper surface 15 so that the most descent position of a sliding valve 5, namely, an idle position may be adjusted. Since the tip end part 17 and the slant upper surface 15 are formed in mutually resemble curved surface shapes, a very slight wear may cause a surface contact state with a large contact surface. In addition, even throughout he adjusting screw 16 and the groove 14 are not positioned on the same central lines, a stop takes place at the idle position correctly. Thereby, a wear in the initial use is reduced so as to aim at reduction of labor for readjustment.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carburetor with a manual choke mechanism capable of obtaining excellent start and stable drive successive thereto by fixing a choke valve at a predetermined position even when a hand is off in the manual operation.
      SOLUTION: The fixing force and the valve-opening force are applied to a choke valve stem 6. A pin 10 of a lever 9 of a choke valve presses an arm piece 14 of a throttle valve lever 13 to slightly open the throttle valve 7 when the choke valve 5 is fully opened. When engine complete explosion is performed in this state, the choke valve 5 is half-opened, and the throttle valve 7 is returned to the idling position by a valve-closing spring 17. When the throttle valve 7 is opened, a cam 15 of the throttle valve lever 13 presses the pin 10 to open the choke valve 5. The valve-opening force exceeds the fixing force when the valve is almost fully opened, and the choke valve 5 is fully opened. The pin 10 is separated from the cam 15, and the throttle valve 7 is opened/closed without interference with the choke valve 5. The choke valve 5 is fixed even when a hand is off by the fixing force exceeding the valve-opening force from the fully-closed condition to the almost fully-opened condition.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor internal configuration of a 2-bore rotary carburetor for a stratified-scavenging engine stabilizing the engine of a power saw, a lawnmower or the like in idling and all position changing.
      SOLUTION: A fuel supply side bore 8 of a carburetor rotor valve 6 is formed with groove pockets 10 communicating with the fuel supply side bore 8 respectively in opening edges of an upstream end and a downstream end on a side of accelerating rotation direction of the rotor valve 6. The groove pocket 10 is in a shape of gradually turning upward to the side of accelerating rotation direction along a peripheral surface of the rotor valve 6 and decreasing in cross sectional area. The construction is therefore such that in horizontal rotation of the rotor valve 6, the groove pockets 10 first lap over a mix passage, the fuel supply side bore 8 and the mix passage are brought into communication and the fuel supply side bore 8 is opened before an air supply side bore 7.
