    • A heating device is provided, including an insulating ceramic base having a heating surface for heating an object. A high frequency electrode is embedded in the insulating ceramic base in the vicinity of the heating surface, and a heating body is embedded in the base in a location that is further from the heating surface than the location of the high frequency electrode. A low resistance ceramic member is provided so as to be exposed to a part of the heating surface of the insulating ceramic base and to be connected to a conductive member inside of the insulating ceramic base. A main component of the material of the low resistance ceramic member is common to that of the insulating ceramic base, and the respective thermal expansion coefficients are equivalent.

    • An image forming apparatus makes use of a color developing principle in which there is an absorption or reaction between a color developer and a dye, pigment or dye precursor. A photosensitive member whose surface is rendered electrically conductive by application of light, and a photosensitive/pressure sensitive recording medium are exposed to image information containing light simultaneously so that the color developer is selectively deposited only onto portions of the photosensitive/pressure sensitive recording medium which is to develop color. Microcapsules containing the dyes, pigments or dye precursors located on the photosensitive/pressure sensitive recording medium are selectively broken according to the image information containing light, and the selectively deposited color developer transferred onto the photosensitive/pressure sensitive recording medium are transferred and fixed on any arbitrary medium to be recorded, thereby obtaining a desired image on the arbitrary medium.

    • An image recording apparatus having a first exposure unit for forming a latent image corresponding to an original image on a photosensitive pressure sensitive recording medium, and a second exposure unit for electrostatically forming a developer particle image. The developer particle image is transferred onto the photosensitive pressure sensitive recording medium, and the thus transferred developer particles are reacted with chromogenic material of the photosensitive recording medium at a pressure developing unit so that a visible image is provided on another sheet medium. A method for recording the image includes the steps of effecting a first exposure for forming the latent image, effecting a second exposure for forming the developer particle image, electrostatically transferring the developer particle image onto the recording medium, and pressure developing the image to provide a visible image on a separate plane paper.

    • An object of the present invention is to provide a heater having a ceramic substrate with a through hole formed therein so that the uniformity of temperature on the heating face of the substrate can be improved and the use life of the ceramic substrate can be improved upon thermal cycles. A ceramic heater comprises a substrate made of a ceramic material and having a heating face where three or more zones 3C, 3F are allocated, heating resistances corresponding to the zones, respectively, and terminals 5C electrically connected to the heating resistances, respectively. Three or more holes 4 are formed in the substrate. Distances of the terminals 5C and the wall surfaces facing the holes 4 are 8 mm or more, respectively. The heating resistance 15 intersects a straight line 16 connecting the center of the terminal and the center 4a of the hole in a plan view.
