This example method further comprises determining, in response to detecting the first sub-gesture and the second sub-gesture, a candidate word based at least in part on the first and second groups of keys, and outputting, by the computing device and for display at the output device, the candidate word.

    • In one example, a method includes outputting, by a computing device and for display, a text display region comprising one or more characters. The method may further include outputting, in response to receiving an indication of an input unit detected at a first location of a presence-sensitive input device, a graphical indicator comprising a representation of a threshold distance. The method may further include receiving an indication of a gesture comprising movement of the input unit from the first location to a second location, and outputting a visual change of the graphical indicator corresponding to the movement of the input unit. The method may further include determining that a distance between the first location and the second location satisfies the threshold distance, and deleting, in response to determining that the threshold distance is satisfied, the one or more characters from the text display region.

The second predicted word may be determined based at least in part on the context and a remote language model, and the local language and the remote language model may be different. The method may include identifying one of the first predicted word and the second predicted word as a final predicted word, and outputting the final predicted word at a display.

    • A touch-sensitive display of a computing device may concurrently output a first virtual keyboard at a first region and a second virtual keyboard at a second region. The first region may be different from the second region, and the first and second virtual keyboards may display a substantially identical set of virtual keys. The touch-sensitive display may detect a first contact at a first location corresponding to a first character within the first region, and the touch-sensitive display may output the first character. After detecting the first contact, the touch-sensitive display may detect a second contact at a second location corresponding to a second character within the second region, and the touch-sensitive display may output the second character. The touch-sensitive display may output a terminator character in response to determining an absence of any contact within the first and second regions.
