摘要： An attachment portion is formed of a synthetic resin material integrally with both ends of a grip body formed of a synthetic resin. A pair of concave portions opposed to each other are provided on an outer peripheral surface of a resin layer forming a hollow portion provided through gas injection in an almost central part in longitudinal direction of the grip body, thereby reducing a volume of the hollow portion and increasing a thickness of the resin layer to enhance a rigidity.

摘要： A head protection air bag apparatus comprises an air bag, an air bag cover for covering the air bag, an inflator for supplying the air bag with a gas for inflation, and an assist grip. The inflator is fixed to a body of a vehicle at a location toward the exterior side of a vehicle relative to the assist grip. The assist grip is provided on its exterior surface with a cover layer having the characteristic of a cushion, so that an impact with the inflator will be cushioned by the assist grip.

In a pivot support portion of the hinge portion, an outer support piece and an inner support piece are provided at a distance from each other, and between the inner support piece and the outer support piece, a torsion coil spring stored in a spring case is inserted. One end portion of the torsion coil spring is locked to an inside of the spring case, and the other end portion of the torsion coil spring projects from the spring case and is locked to a part of the grip body.
