摘要： A configuration is provided wherein usage restrictions of an application are determined in accordance with timestamps. A certificate revocation list (CRL) in which the revocation information of a content owner who is a providing entity of an application program recorded in a disc is recorded is referred to verify whether or not a content owner identifier recorded in an application certificate is included in the CRL, and in the case that the content owner identifier is included in the CRL, comparison between a timestamp stored in a content certificate and a CRL timestamp is executed, and in the case that the content certificate timestamp has date data equal to or later than the CRL timestamp, utilization processing of the application program is prohibited or restricted. According to the present configuration, a configuration is realized wherein an unrevoked application is not subjected to utilization restriction, and only a revoked application is subjected to utilization restriction.

摘要： To realize a configuration to output content to a medium and to use the content stored in the medium under control of the use of content.A content-output-device outputs an encrypted content and an encryption key to be applied to the using process to the medium, and a management server generates a media ID verification value based on a media ID that is an identifier of the medium and transmits the value to the medium. The medium stores the encrypted content, the encryption key, and the media ID verification value in a storage unit. A reproduction device loads the medium and calculates a verification value based on the media ID acquired from the medium, and executes a reproducing process of the encrypted content stored in the medium by data processing to which the encryption key is applied on condition that a matching process performed between the verification value and the media ID verification value stored in the medium is established.

摘要： An information processing apparatus includes: a data processing unit generates contents to be provided to a client, extracts plural blocks as content configuration data from an original content, sets patterns including block rows of the extracted blocks, generates encrypted blocks applying block keys which are different according to respective patterns and respective blocks, selects encrypted blocks from the patterns at random in each content delivery, generates individually-encrypted portions by encrypting part of configuration data of the selected blocks by applying an individual key corresponding to a client as a content delivery destination, and generates encrypted content including encrypted blocks on which encryption processing by the block keys is performed and individually-encrypted portions on which encryption processing by the individual key is performed as the content to be provided to the client.

When download of an audio file of Japanese language is instructed, the update file of the content recorded on the optical disc (11) is downloaded. The Audio stream file as an audio file of Japanese language, the Clip Information file accompanying it, the Play List file controlling the reproduction of the Audio stream file, and the navigation program file which has been updated are recorded as the update file in a local storage (12). By the navigation program which has been updated, for example, the Audio stream file of Clip 3 as the Japanese language audio is reproduced. The present invention can be applied to a player to which a recording medium where the content has been recorded is detachably attached.

A text data decoder 121 decodes text subtitle data, supplies a character object to a character object buffer 122, and supplies attribute data to an attribute data buffer 123. The attribute data stored in the attribute data buffer 123 is changed on the basis of an operation input from the user. A font rasterizer 124 converts the character object into raster data on the basis of attribute specification read from the attribute data buffer 123 and acquired font data, and outputs the raster data. By detecting each character object bearing a bookmark on the basis of the attribute and using a bookmark buffer 125, character objects bearing the same bookmark ID are prevented from being repeatedly rasterized. The present invention is applicable to a playback apparatus.

If an instruction is given to download a Japanese language audio file, update files corresponding to the content recorded on an optical disc 11 are downloaded. After being downloaded as the update files, audio stream files in Japanese are recorded to a local storage 12 along with accompanying clip information files, play list files for controlling reproduction of the audio stream files, and an updated navigation program file. The updated navigation program is used illustratively to reproduce a clip 3 audio stream file in Japanese. This invention applies among others to players to which a recording medium that stores contents is removable.
