摘要： A lock portion for a connector which is adapted to disengageably lock connector housings which are adapted to be engaged with each other by locking an engaging portion provided on the male housing with a latch portion provided on the female housing, characterized in that flexible lock arms which are fixed on a horizontal wall of the female housing so as to extend in an engaging direction includes the latch portion at an opposite side, and a disengaging lever portion which is connected at its one end to the latch portion so as to extend along the lock arms, and which rotates with the latch portion around a support portion which is abutted movably against the horizontal wall by pushing a finger touch portion for lock disengaging operation in a backward end, whereby a locked condition will be disengaged.

摘要： A connector housing has an abutment surface with which a front end surface of an opposing connector is brought into contact at a time of fitting to the opposing connector. Terminal metal fittings are inserted to positions rearward from the abutment surface from terminal insertion holes in the connector housing. A retainer is moved to a regular engagement position from a temporary engagement position so as to prevent the terminal metal fittings from falling off rearward, and is provided with a projection extending forward from the abutment surface of the connector housing.

摘要： In a connector, a first housing is provided with a projection, and a second housing is provided with a retainer engaged with the projection. An engagement detector is held in the second housing so as to slidable between a first position and a second position. The retainer retains the engagement detector at the first position such that the engagement detector is slidable to the second position only when the projection and the retainer are completely engaged with each other at a complete engagement position. The engagement detector locks the retainer at the complete engagement position when the engagement detector is placed in the second position.

The waterproof tap, which is formed of rubber and includes a plurality of insertion holes respectively formed so as to oppose a plurality of terminal storage chambers formed in the connector housing, is fitted with the rear portion of the connector housing, and the waterproof tap is fixed by the waterproof tap cover which has a plurality of through holes corresponding to the insertion holes. Chamfered escape recesses are formed in the hole edge portions of the through holes adjacent the waterproof tap in order to accommodate ridge portions of the waterproof tap when the terminals are withdrawn from the connector housing so that the connector can be resealed when the terminals are inserted again.
