摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a method which is able to prevent or improve the progress of myolytic diseases such as muscular dystrophy. Such an object is able to be solved by a method where an effective dose of an inhibitor for hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase (H-PGDS) or an antagonist to prostaglandin D receptor is administered to a patient who needs it. The present invention also provides a method for screening compounds which are able to prevent the progress of myolytic diseases and to improve it using human H-PGDS overexpressed transgenic mice.

摘要： There are provided a compound for treatment or prevention of brain injury caused by diseases such as cerebrovascular disorder, brain degenerative disease and demyelinating disease and a method for screening the same. Brain injury in which prostaglandin D2 is participated is treated or prevented by inhibition of hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase induced in microglia cell or macrophage of brain injury area by diseases such as cerebrovascular disorder, brain degenerative disease or demyelinating disease or by inhibition of activation of prostaglandin D receptor expressed in astroglia cell around the injured area. There is also provided a method of testing those pharmaceutical substances using a transgenic mouse in which human hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase is expressed in large amounts.

摘要： There are provided a compound for treatment or prevention of brain injury caused by diseases such as cerebrovascular disorder, brain degenerative disease and demyelinating disease and a method for screening the same. Certain embodiments of a magneto-resistive effect element in accordance with the present invention include a pinned ferromagnetic layer containing a first ferromagnetic film having a magnetization direction fixed in one direction, a free ferromagnetic layer containing a second ferromagnetic film having a magnetization direction varying in response to an external magnetic field, an intermediate layer provided between the pinned ferromagnetic layer and the free ferromagnetic layer, and a current confinement layer for confining a current. At least one of the pinned ferromagnetic layer or the free ferromagnetic layer includes a highly spin polarized layer.

摘要： An automatic label winding and charging device is provided for use with a portable label applying system in which labels temporarily adhered in series to a web of backing paper are printed with bar codes or the like by the action of a printer. The label web having printed labels is fed to a take-up cassette that is removably mounted in the printer, being removable therefrom for insertion in a dispenser for applying the printed labels to commodities. The automatic label winding and charging device comprises a cassette guide member for guiding the cassette when the latter is to be mounted in the printer. Pressure releasing means is provided for releasing the label web so that it may be freely advanced. In order to ensure the smooth guidance of the label web, an arcuate guide groove is provided for guiding the printed label web therethrough to the cassette. A cutter is provided to sever this printed label web at a suitable position thereof.
