摘要： A cutting tool is described comprising a cutting insert with an upper surface, a lower surface, a side surface, and a cutting blade formed at the intersection of the upper surface and the side surface, and a holder comprising an insert pocket to which the cutting insert is attached. The cutting insert is attached to the holder in such a manner that the cutting blade projects outward from the front end surface and the outer peripheral surface of the holder. The holder comprises in the outer peripheral surface on a rear end side with respect to the cutting blade a concave curve-shaped first wall surface portion that extends from the vicinity of the insert pocket toward the rear end side. The lower end of the front-end-side edge of the first wall surface portion is disposed at a lower position than the cutting blade.
