摘要： In a projection-type display apparatus using light scattering type liquid crystal devices, light from a light source is reflected by a reflecting mirror through a collecting lens; reflected light is converted by a lens into a parallel light beam, which is injected into liquid crystal devices disposed on three sides through a dichroic mirror, the liquid crystal devices coloring an image in red, green and blue; the image is projected on a screen through again the dichroic mirror, the collecting lens and an enlarging lens. Further a photodetector is disposed at a focal point of the collecting lens and a function of adjusting the position of the light source on the basis of a result of this detection is added.

摘要： The disclosure relates to a projector having an arrangement of polarizers and liquid crystal cells aligned on the axis of light in the order a first color polarizer colored in red, a first twisted nematic liquid crystal cell, a second twisted nematic liquid crystal cell, a second color polarizer colored in a green, a third twisted nematic liquid, a neutral polarizer and Guest-Host type colored in blue. Since, according to this, a polarizer having inferior color characteristics can be replaced by a Guest-Host type liquid crystal cell, the excitation purity and the scope of color reproduction are improved. Further, since the mixture of color is additive, the brightness of the reproduced color is also much improved.

摘要： An electron beam focusing structure for a three in-line gun color picture tube comprises a permanent magnet or a focusing coil and a pair of magnetic yokes made of magnetic material high in magnetic permeability and having beam-passing through-holes and being disposed opposite to each other and perpendicular to the axis of the tube, for controlling the focusing magnetic fields generated for the plural electron beams by the permanent magnet or focusing coil in such a manner that the beams converge near the phosphor screen and focused respectively on the phosphor screen. The magnetic yokes are provided with cylindrical magnetic members extending in the axial direction of the tube, the cylindrical magnetic members for the center beam being different in length from the cylindrical magnetic members for the side beams, whereby the effective pole gap lengths for the respective beams between the magnetic yokes are so controlled as to provide optimum focusing fields for the respective beams. As an alternative form of the magnetic members, recesses are provided in the periphery of the throughholes with different depths.
