摘要： A flocculant for water treatment containing a highly polymerized silicic acid solution having a high concentration of SiO.sub.2 and an extremely low concentration of alkali metal substance, and a method for producing such flocculant. The silicic acid solution is prepared by treating an aqueous solution of an alkali metal silicate such as water glass to remove alkali metal and allowing the solution to liquefy after once gelling. The flocculant may further contain a water soluble metal salt such as ferric chloride or ferric nitrate.

摘要： A method and flocculant for water treatment in which the highly polymerized silicic acid and a water-soluble salt of a metal capable of forming a hydroxide in water such as aluminum are added to the water to be treated. The highly polymerized silicic acid can be prepared by polymerizing water glass. In the case where the highly polymerized silicic acid and the water-soluble metal salt are prepared as a flocculant in the form of aqueous solution before adding to the water to be treated, the flocculant is maintained at a pH value of not less than about 2 or not lower than about 11. The flocculant may be a silicic acid solution of which the gel time is prolonged by being added with a substance capable to generate ferrice ion in the solution so that the flocculant can maintain high aggregation ability after being stored for a long time. The silicic acid solution may be polymerized before being added with such ferric ion generating substance.

摘要： A vibration actuator has a movable body including a magnet, a fixing body including a coil, and an elastic support portion. The movable body vibrates in a magnetization direction of the magnet in cooperation with the coil to which power is supplied and the magnet. The fixing body has a peripheral wall portion that is disposed to surround the movable body in a direction intersecting the magnetization direction. The elastic support portion is a plate spring which has one end portion fixed to an outer periphery of the movable body opposing an inner surface of the peripheral wall portion and the other end portion fixed to the peripheral wall portion and is disposed in a radial direction from the outer periphery of the movable body. 摘要： Performing power saving control which can be inherited and standardized easily, and which keeps power devices from having to become larger is made possible. A current In flowing through an electrical path is detected as a voltage Vs by a current detection section, and is outputted as a voltage Vout by an amplifying section. When a level corresponding to the voltage Vout exceeds a limit level, a power limit detection section outputs a power limit detection signal. When a controller receives the power limit detection signal via a detection signal holding section, the controller outputs a throttle control command signal. When a chip set receives the throttle control command signal, the chip set initiates throttle control that lowers the clock frequency of a CPU. The present invention may be applied to laptop personal computers.
