摘要： Electrode assemblies easily impregnated with an electrolyte are provided. A sealing tape attached to the outer circumference of the electrode assembly comprises a material having an affinity for the electrolyte. Alternatively, the entire sealing tape or a portion of the tape is coated with the material. In another alternative, the surface of the sealing tape is rough, thereby improving wetting of the tape by the electrolyte and diffusion of the electrolyte into the tape. In another embodiment, first and second insulating plates comprise a material having an affinity for the electrolyte. In another alternative, the insulating plates comprise a mixture of a material having an affinity for the electrolyte and polypropylene or polyethylene. Alternatively, the surfaces of the insulating plates are coated with the material or with a surfactant that reduces the surface tension of the electrolyte.

摘要： A lithium secondary battery, in which electrolyte impregnation capability is improved, even in the case of a high-density electrode assembly, by forming a bottom insulator plate with a structure to facilitate the impregnation of the electrode assembly with an electrolyte. The bottom insulator plate may be formed with a plurality of holes in the form of a mesh, and the holes are defined by a plurality of protrusions with differing heights to improve the electrolyte impregnation capability. Alternatively, the bottom insulator plate may be formed with a central hole and a plurality of peripheral holes radially arranged around the central hole in an aperture ratio to improve the electrolyte impregnation capability.

摘要： The present invention provides an anode for a lithium rechargeable battery, a lithium rechargeable battery including the same, and a method of fabricating the lithium rechargeable battery. An antigelling agent is added in an anode slurry to prevent gelation, and the anode of the present invention is made with the antigelling agent added anode slurry. During fabrication of the anode by using a lithium nickel-based or manganese-based composite oxide for an anode active material, gelation is prevented. A lithium rechargeable battery made with the anode of the present invention shows a high capacity and excellent stability and reliability.

摘要： A center pin and a lithium ion secondary battery are provided. The center pin has a hollow body and a solid extinguishant is disposed inside the hollow body. The solid extinguishant has a certain shape that can fit into the hollow body, and can be made by compressing a powder extinguishing substance. Top and bottom of the center pin are initially closed by blocking members to reduce a dead volume in a battery. The top and bottom of the center pin open at high temperature so that the solid extinguishant is liquefied and flows out of the center pin. The liquefied extinguishant at the high temperature prevent the battery from igniting.
