    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bridge construction method which requires only a lightweight and simple construction facility, achieves accurate positioning to an existing bridge girder, and is excellent in efficiency and safety of assembling work, and to provide a bridge construction method.
      SOLUTION: The bridge construction method is implemented by moving a carriage on which a connecting bridge girder is mounted, on the existing bridge girder, connecting front ends of the bridge girder 13 and the connecting bridge girder together via a hinge, and rotating the connecting bridge girder, so as to connect the bridge girder to the connecting bridge girder. The bridge girder construction method is composed of a step of connecting a carriage frame-cum-support of the carriage to the hinge 22 and moving the same to the front end of the bridge girder 13; a step of connecting the bridge girder to the connecting bridge girder via the hinge; a step of thrusting up the connecting bridge girder with the hinge as a fulcrum; a step of forming a support by using the carriage frame-cum-support after thrusting up the connecting bridge girder; and a step of rotating and lowering the connecting bridge girder with the hinge as the fulcrum, and connecting the connecting bridge girder to the bridge girder in a manner of maintaining a balance by a wire rope from the support.
