    • Method and arrangement in a base station for adjusting a channel quality indicator value of a wireless transmission between the base station and a user equipment. The base station, the user equipment and a relay node are comprised in a multi-hop wireless communication system and adapted to intercommunicate in a first transmission mode and a second transmission mode. The method comprises sending a radio signal to be received by the user equipment, obtaining a measurement of the channel quality indicator value, determining if the transmission mode of the sent radio signal is different from the transmission mode of the obtained channel quality indicator value measurement, and adding a channel quality indicator offset value to the channel quality indicator value, if the transmission mode of the relay node is determined to be the first transmission mode while the channel quality indicator was measured and obtained in the second transmission mode.

    • Method and arrangement in a relay node, for selecting communication mode. The relay node is configured to communicate with a base station via a donor antenna over a first link and to communicate with a user equipment via a coverage antenna over a second link. The method comprises obtaining an isolation value, based on the radio wave isolation between the relay donor antenna and the relay coverage antenna. The obtained isolation value is compared with an isolation threshold level value. The relay node is configured to communicate in full duplex mode if the obtained isolation value exceeds the isolation threshold level value, otherwise in half duplex mode. Information concerning the configured duplex mode of the relay node is transmitted to the base station.Also a method and arrangement in a base station is described.

    • A method of allocating radio resources to communication links of a wireless communication system based on status parameters of each of the links, the communication system having a plurality of network nodes, a plurality of relays associated with the network nodes, and a terminal accessing the communication system. A first radio resource allocation may be determined by balancing the performance of a relay-to-network-node communication link of each relay against the performance of a corresponding terminal-to-relay communication link. A second allocation may be determined by balancing the performance of the relay-to-network-node communication link of each relay against the performance of a terminal-to-network-node communication link. A final allocation may be determined by calculating a weighted average value of the first and second allocations.
