    • A storage apparatus includes a first rack having electrical conductivity, on which are mounted channel control parts receiving data input/output requests, and disk control parts performing read/write of data from and to disk drives, a second rack having electrical conductivity, on which are mounted disk drives, and relay parts for relaying communications between the disk drives and disk control parts; and communication cables for connecting disk control parts to relay parts. The communication cables include a transmission medium through which to transmit data, a first conductor having electrical conductivity and surrounding the transmission medium, a second conductor having electrical conductivity and surrounding the first conductor, and a covering surrounding the second conductor. The first conductor is connected to ground potential supply circuits provided in at least either disk control parts or relay parts, and the second conductor is connected to at least one of the first and second racks.

    • A cooling structure for electronic devices includes a plurality of electronic device accommodating boxes, in which electronic devices are accommodated, disposed in a casing in multiple stages. A vent portion which allows ventilation between the inside and the outside of the casing is formed in a ceiling of the casing. In a first accommodating portion for accommodating the first electronic device accommodating box which is defined at the stage close to the ceiling, a hollow duct having two opening faces is arranged. The first opening face faces the vent portion and the second opening face faces a second accommodating portion for accommodating the second electronic device accommodating box which is defined at the stage remote from the ceiling. Air inside the second electronic device accommodating box is discharged through the inside of the duct. Air inside of the first electronic device accommodating box is discharged from the vent portion.

The canister on the upstream side has a reliability assurance temperature lower than that on the downstream side, and a disk size of the canister on the upstream side is smaller than that on the downstream side. Also, the canister on the downstream side is arranged higher than that on the upstream side so that an alarm indicator LED and a ready indicator LED can be checked visually.
