    • A process cartridge detachably mountable to a main assembly of an image forming apparatus includes an electrophotographic photosensitive member; a process cartridge actable on the photosensitive member; a cartridge frame; a first projection for positioning the process cartridge relative to the main assembly when the process cartridge is mounted to the main assembly, the first projection being outwardly projected from a first frame of the cartridge frame adjacent an axial end of the photosensitive member; a second projection for positioning the process cartridge relative to the main assembly when the process cartridge is mounted to the main assembly, the second projection being outwardly projected from a second frame of the cartridge frame adjacent another axial end of the photosensitive member; a confining contact portion, in the cartridge frame, for contacting a first fixed portion of the main assembly and cooperating with the first projection and second projection to correctly position the process cartridge relative to the main assembly, when the process cartridge is mounted to the main assembly; and a releasing contact portion, in the cartridge frame, for contacting a second fixed portion of the main assembly to provide a pivot of rotation of the process cartridge, when the process cartridge is demounted from the main assembly.

    • A computing program and apparatus for controlling computing resources, and a distributed processing system, which realize determining a computing node to be allocated to a computing task, with taking a time required for changing the state of running software into consideration. A node information acquisition unit continuously acquires and stores environment information indicating running software from computing nodes in a node information memory. A request acceptor accepts a computing request including environment condition information specifying software necessary for execution of a computing task. A node selector compares the environment information of each computing node with the environment condition information to preferentially select a computing node that requires the least software to start, as a commuting node to be allocated. A node controller controls the selected computing node to start the necessary software and then execute the computing task.

    • An image recording apparatus includes a recording head and a first conveyance unit. An applying unit applies the recording medium on the first conveyance unit with treatment liquid. One end of a second conveyance unit is connected on an upstream side from the applying unit disposed on the first conveyance unit and the other end is connected on a downstream side from the applying unit disposed on the first conveyance unit and on the upstream side from the recording head in the conveyance direction, the second conveyance unit conveying the recording medium. A conveyance switching unit is disposed on the one end of the second conveyance unit and switches conveyance of the recording medium to the applying unit side of the first conveyance unit or to the second conveyance unit side according to a content of recording data.
