    • An information-transmission system which uses non-geosynchronous artificial satellites, including a server-system and its client apparatuses, for performing communications or broadcast, the system comprises: a means for controlling changeover of a non-geosynchronous artificial satellite being used, to another satellite to be next used; wherein the server-system determines whether or not a satellite-changeover occurs during sending of an information packet to be sent toward a satellite being used, one of the non-geosynchronous artificial satellites; and if it is determined that a satellite-changeover occurs during sending of the information packet to be sent, the server-system or each client apparatus postpones sending of the information packet to be sent, and starts sending of the information packet to be sent, after the completion of the satellite-changeover; or repeatedly sends the information packet to be sent, until the completion of said satellite-changeover. Moreover, the server-system informs each satellite on at least one of the start time of, the time necessary for, and the end time of the satellite-changeover.

    • From a single transmitted from a satellite, are extracted a position where a terrestrial station side system exists and a position of the satellite. A distance between the terrestrial station side system and the satellite, based on a difference of those positions. Then, a sum of the distance between the terrestrial station side system and the satellite and a distance between the satellite and a mobile station side system, based on a difference between the reception time when a mobile station side communication antenna receives the signal and the transmission time. Further, the distance between the mobile station side system and the satellite is obtained by subtracting the distance between the terrestrial station side system and the satellite from the obtained sum. And, based on the distance between the mobile station side system and the satellite, the position where the mobile station side system exists is obtained.

    • An adaptive information display apparatus is provided for simultaneously displaying a plurality of kinds of display information on a display screen in an optimal display form. The information display apparatus includes a work processing unit for executing a plurality of kinds of work processing based on each of data inputted from a sensor input unit and a character/coordinate input unit and outputting the results of the work processing, and a display unit for displaying the results of the plurality of kinds of work processing outputted from the work processing unit. The information display apparatus further includes a display form detector unit detecting display form data for the display unit, an arrangement rule storage unit storing an arrangement rule defining display forms corresponding to each of the plurality of kinds of work processing, and a display arrangement control unit comparing the display form data and the arrangement rule for each work to output a predetermined display arrangement instruction. The work processing unit outputs the results of each of the plurality of kinds of work processing to the display unit in a predetermined display form in accordance with the display arrangement instruction.
