摘要： An automatic document conveyer for use with a photoelectric copier which copies an image of a document at a platen of the photoelectric copier onto a copying sheet. The document conveyor includes a first conveyor part for conveying the documents one by one to the platen, and a second conveyor part for conveying the documents from the platen to the outside of the photoelectric copier after a copying operation. The first conveyor part conveys the documents at either a fast speed or a slow speed, and conveys the documents at the slow speed while a forwarded document is placed at the platen.

摘要： An automatic document feeding apparatus in which a plurality of documents are sequentially fed to an image exposure section. Before the completion of the exposure of a foregoing document, the feeding of a following document is started to place the document on a given position before the image exposure section and stopped thereon temporarily for stand-by. The position of the temporary stop of the following document can be varied in accordance with document size detecting signals from a document size detector or selected in such a manner that the distance between the trailing end of the foregoing document and the leading end of the following document becomes constant substantially irrespective of the size of the document.

摘要： An electrophotographic copying apparatus has increased speed in recording sheet conveyance where the conveying path from the sheet feed cassette to the photosensitive member is relatively long. The sheet conveyance apparatus is constructed to equalize the line speed of the photosensitive member, the feed speed of the recording sheet and the conveying speed of the recording sheet. A plurality of sheets serially fed out from a sheet tray are concurrently transported along the sheet path. A sheet is fed out from the sheet tray in response to a timing reference signal generated in response to the scanning operation for a previously fed out sheet.

摘要： A sorter provided with a stapler for use with an image forming apparatus, in which there are provided a plurality of bins each for accommodating various widths of recording sheets delivered from the image forming apparatus, the center of the sheets being positioned in the center of the bins. An aligner aligns the accommodated sheets by pushing the sides of the sheets toward a reference stop wall on each of the bins, and a casing to house the bins is integrated into a unit. The casing is movable in a direction at right angles to a feeding direction of the sheets, and is moved to correspond with the width of the sheets. The home position of the casing is set to a position where the minimum width of sheets are accommodated.

摘要： A sorter, which sorts sheets transferred from an image forming apparatus to form a plurality of sheet stacks and staples each sheet stacks, is disclosed herewith. The sorter is provided with a plurality of bins arrayed in an upright direction for stacking the sorted sheets, and is provided also with a stapler to staple each sheet stack.
