    • An information terminal apparatus includes a memory and a processor. The memory stores information indicating a front operating system. The processor runs a first virtual machine that executes a first operating system. The processor runs a second virtual machine that executes a second operating system. The processor controls user interface of the information terminal apparatus by executing the front operating system. The processor detects, by referring to the information stored in the memory, that the front operating system is changed from the first operating system to the second operating system. The processor notifies, upon the detection, the first virtual machine of a first notification indicating that the user interface stops. The processor notifies, upon the detection, the second virtual machine of a second notification indicating that the user interface restarts.

    • There is provided an information processing apparatus with a double-sided operable keyboard, capable of executing desired application processing even in the case where a keyboard is folded and keys to be normally operated are directed to a reverse side (e.g., a display apparatus side or a lower side) with respect to a user. The information processing apparatus includes a display apparatus and a keyboard apparatus. The keyboard apparatus is foldable so as to cover a lower part or a portion of a display region of the display apparatus, and at least one function key assigned arbitrary applications are provided on a bottom surface of the keyboard apparatus. Furthermore, the information processing apparatus includes a keyboard position detecting part for detecting a relative position of the keyboard apparatus with respect to the display apparatus, and switches effective keys between keys on an upper surface of the keyboard apparatus and keys on the bottom surface of the keyboard apparatus in accordance with the relative position of the keyboard apparatus.

    • A mobile terminal device receives information related to a push email service from a mail server, a calendar server, and a phone book server that provide the push email service via a wireless communication network. The mobile terminal device stores therein setting information that indicates whether the information related to the push email service is received at the time of the standby state. Furthermore, the mobile terminal device determines whether to shift the state of the mobile terminal device to a standby state.
