    • A bearing temperature monitoring device and bearing device provided with the monitoring device composed so that occurrence of scratch on the rotation shaft supported by the bearing caused by a bearing temperature carrying member integrated in the bearing such that its top end surface faces the rotation shaft, are provided. The bearing device is provided with a bearing temperature detecting device which comprises a bearing temperature carrying member made of material larger in thermal conductivity than the bearing layer and shaped to have a protruded part to be inserted slidably into a through hole in the bearing layer and a base part to be received in a cylindrical space in the back metal, the base part serving to restrict protrusion of the protruded part into the through hole so that the top end surface thereof is level with the sliding surface of the bearing layer, a pushing member attached to the back metal to push the temperature carrying member so that the member move toward the back metal against the pushing force of the pushing member when bearing load exerts on the temperature carrying member, and a temperature sensor for detecting temperature of the temperature carrying member.

    • Provided is an oiling nozzle for a thrust bearing, capable of improving the following capability of pads, and achieving a higher bearing pressure of the thrust bearing. An oiling nozzle which is for use in a thrust bearing and is respectively arranged between pads disposed in positions facing the thrust surface of a thrust collar that protrudes radially outward from a rotor shaft, along the circumferential direction, wherein the oiling nozzle comprises: a cylindrical stem; and a rectangular-shaped mainframe whose heightwise middle portions of opposite lateral sides are provided with convex parts each presenting a semicircular disk shape in a plane view, to be fitted into concave parts that are formed in lateral sides of the pads, and whose top portion located on the side opposite to the stem is formed with a plurality of nozzle holes for ejecting lubricating oil that has been supplied from the bottom of the stem toward a space between the thrust collar and the pads.

    • A journal bearing which can be constructed without leading to decrease in rigidity and increase in size, in which lubrication oil can be supplied to the bearing surfaces of the pads with certainty. The journal bearing 10 having a bearing platform 20, a cylindrical bearing housing 30 supported by the bearing platform by the intermediary of a plurality of load supporting members 33, a plurality of pads 40a-40b located swingablly in the bearing housing so that a journal j of a rotation shaft is supported by the pads capable of being self-aligning, and oil supply means for supplying lubrication oil to the bearing surfaces 48 of the pads, is composed such that a connecting member 62 is provided in addition to said load supporting members 33, said connecting member 62 having an oil hole 62a to communicate an oil supply passage 60 in the bearing platform 20 with an oil supply passage consisting of passages 64, 66, and 68 in the bearing housing 30 so that lubrication oil is supplied from the bearing platform 20 to the bearing surfaces 48 of the pads 40a-40b, said connecting member 62 also serving to carry a part of bearing load exerted from the bearing housing 30, and that said connecting member 62 is mounted to said position in such a manner that said part of bearing load carried by the connecting member 62 is smaller than bearing load carried by one of the load supporting members 33.

    • An oiling nozzle for a thrust bearing improves the following capability of pads and achieves a higher bearing pressure of the thrust bearing. The oiling nozzles are arranged between respective pads disposed in positions facing the thrust surface of a thrust collar that protrudes radially outward from a rotor shaft, along the circumferential direction. Each oiling nozzle has a cylindrical stem and a rectangular-shaped mainframe whose heightwise middle portions of opposite lateral sides are provided with convex parts. Each convex part presents a semicircular disk shape in a plane view to be fitted into concave parts that are formed in lateral sides of the pads. A top portion located on a side opposite to the stem is formed with a plurality of nozzle holes for ejecting lubricating oil that has been supplied from the bottom of the stem toward a space between the thrust collar and the pads.
