    • An image transmission system, which enables for a user to know a communication status between a PC and a projector, is provided. The image transmission system includes a PC (300) as an image generating apparatus and a projector (400) as an image projecting apparatus. The projector (400) monitors a status of communication with the PC (300), and includes a status monitoring unit (402) for generating information related to the communication status which is being monitored, and also a projector communication unit for transmitting the generated information related to the communication status to the PC (300).
