    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bridge pier construction method and a bridge pier formed by the bridge pier construction method wherein foundation piles and a footing formed of a prestressed concrete slab can be easily connected in a short time.
      SOLUTION: The predetermined number of foundation piles 7 with threaded holes 17 formed in pile heads 16 are installed in the ground, and the footing 2 formed of the prestressed concrete slab is placed on the predetermined number of foundation piles 7. Screw shanks 21 of cap bolts 20 are inserted through the footing 2 from the top of the footing, and screwed to the pile heads 17 of the foundation piles 7 and tightened to fix the footing 2 to the foundation piles 7. The footing 2 can thereby be fixed to the foundation piles 7 in a short time with simple work not requiring technical knowledge and expertise of pressure welding, welding, reinforcement, and the like.
