      SOLUTION: A buffer part 13a for bypassing a gas flow is formed in an upstream of the bent part in a flow passage 13 of the gas meter 1 to make the gas flow in parallel to the longitudinal direction of a straightening vane 14a. The buffer part 13a includes a wall 13b1, erected to be projected into the flow passage 13 in an upstream of the straightening vane 14a, and formed integrally with a meter casing, and an outer frame end part 14b1 that is one part of an outer frame part 14b of a flow straightener 14 projected into the flow passage 13. The wall 13b1 is constituted so as to be overlapped by a distance A with the outer frame end part 14b1. The straightening vane 14a is supported with a prescribed approach run distance B from an opening face of the outer frame end part 14b1.
