摘要： PURPOSE:To drive a laser diode by means of a low output-level amplifier circuit in a laser diode drive circuit which converts high-frequency signals into optical signals by modulating the luminance of the signals by supplying the signals to the laser diode and, at the same time, to reduce the occurrence of distortion in the amplifier circuit. CONSTITUTION:A transformer T1 for impedance matching is provided between the output of an amplifier circuit 102 for amplifying high-frequency signals and a laser diode 107 and the primary winding, one end of the secondary winding, and the other end of the secondary winding of the transformer T1 are respectively connected to the output of the circuit 102, a bias power source, and the diode 107. The number of amplification stages of the circuit 102 and distortion of the high-frequency signals generated in the circuit 12 are reduced by reducing the loss of the high-frequency signals caused by a series resistance R1 by utilizing the relation between the ratio of transformation of the transformer T1 with the square of the winding.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve reliability at low cost by opto-electrically transducing an input optical signal received from a data unit and connecting a data signal in the branching circuit of a coaxial circuit. CONSTITUTION:A master station 101 generates output data transmitted to a mobile object 105, modulates it in MODEM 107 and transmits it to a coaxial cable 102 as an output signal FD. The input signal Fu which is received from the mobile object 105 through space is demodulated and it is processed in the master station 101. Here, a DC power transmitted from the master station 101 to a junction is inputted from the ground-side of as first branching circuit, a voltage is stabilized and it is supplied as the bias voltage of a light-receiving element. A second branching circuit opto-electrically transduces the input signal and it is connected on the cable 102. Thus, the branching circuit used for an optical satellite 103 is directly inserted into the cable 102 and the signals for the second branching circuit is inserted into a center conductor and an external conductor in parallel. Then, the change of impedance is cancelled and distortion is eliminated from the signal, whereby the signal of high reliability can be obtained.

Thus, the multi-level modulation of the phase and amplitude including the on/off control of the carrier signal is realized with a simple constitution and the spread of spectrum of the carrier signal after modulation is prevented.
