    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuser member which can realize certain fusing applications to provide options for level of gloss on prints, lessen environmental impact and reliance on petroleum-derived materials, reduce costs, and increase the number of options for biodegrading and/or recycling.SOLUTION: A fuser member 100 comprises a functional layer 120 disposed on a cylindrical substrate 110 and containing silicone, and a release layer 130 containing microcrystalline cellulose particles dispersed in a fluoropolymer. The release layer comprises a composite of: the fluoropolymer, selected from the group consisting of polytetrafluoroethylene and perfluoroalkoxy polymer resin; and the microcrystalline cellulose particles with n in the range from about 200 to about 4000, where the content of the microcrystalline particles is in the range from about 1.0 wt.% to about 10 wt.% of the release layer 130.
