    • An adjustable folding top for a motor vehicle can be adjusted between a closed position covering the vehicle interior and a deposited position. The top is equipped with a folding top linkage having a plurality of movably arranged transverse and side bows. In order to provide a simply constructed and space-saving folding top, a rearward transverse bow of the folding top linkage, which faces the depositing space of the folding top, has a multipart construction with at least one center section and two lateral sections. The lateral sections are connected with the center section by way of articulations. Furthermore, during the transition from the closed position into the deposited position, the rearward transverse bow can be displaced along the longitudinal axis of the vehicle in the direction of the rearward side of the vehicle and, during the transition from the closed position into the deposited position, the lateral sections of the rearward transverse bow can be swivelled in the direction of the vehicle interior.

    • A convertible top for a vehicle includes a folding top frame. The folding top frame has a transversely extending front bow and a pair of oppositely disposed first and second side rails. The front bow has first and second ends. The folding top frame is movable between a closed position in which the folding top frame is longitudinally extended and a stored position in which the folding top frame is folded. The convertible top further includes first and second rotary joints each having a transversely extending swivel axis. The rotary joints respectively link the ends of the front bow to the side rails such that the front bow swivels about the transversely extending swivel axes of the rotary joints as the folding top frame moves between the closed and stored positions in order to reduce space requirements in the stored position of the folding top frame.

    • A hardtop vehicle roof has a forward roof section, a rearward roof section and a kinematic adjusting system for adjusting the roof sections between a closed position and a deposited position. The kinematic adjusting system includes a vehicle-fixed first guide link and a guiding element which is guided in the guide link and is connected with one of the roof sections. In order to provide a space-saving, flexibly constructed vehicle roof, a second guide link is swivellable about a vehicle-fixed rotation axis. The guiding element of the roof section is slidingly guided in the first as well as the second guide link.

    • An automobile convertible top for an automobile which can be adjusted between a closed position and a folded-down position has a convertible-top mechanism and a convertible-top fabric which is supported by the convertible-top mechanism. A side bar, is comprised of two limbs arranged at an angle and, in the side region of the convertible-top mechanism, is held by a joint having a first axis and a second axis which runs at an angle to the first axis. The side bar is arranged on the convertible-top mechanism such that, in the folded-down position, one limb of the side bar is with respect to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The end side of the limb which is remote from the joint faces toward the side region lying opposite the joint. To improve the seal for a convertible top in the region of the side windows, the pivotable side bar is configured as a single-part component and one limb of the pivotable side bar, in the closed position of the convertible top, extends as far as a window frame of the windshield.
