摘要： A method of trimming printed media, having a first dimension, a first edge parallel to the direction of the first dimension, and a second dimension substantially perpendicular to the first dimension, includes selecting printed media to be positioned on a conveyor based on predetermined delivery sequence data, positioning the printed media along a path on the conveyor, abutting the printed media with a stop to position the first edge of the printed media at a location along the path, receiving size data representative of the second dimension of the printed media to be trimmed, and electronically controlling at least one of the stop and a trimming device to adjust a distance between the stop and the trimming device, in a direction substantially parallel with the path, based on the received size data to adjust a location along the second dimension at which the printed media is to be trimmed.

The pre-personalized items and the items that are not pre-personalized are selectively fed to a conveyor in the desired zip code order. The items that are not pre-addressed are addressed and the zip code bundles are prepared according to the master mailing list.

摘要： An apparatus for attaching an item to printed material, including a cover applicator for securing covers to signatures, a signature supplier positioned to provide at least one signature to the cover applicator, and a cover feeder positioned to feed covers in separated relation to the cover applicator. An item feeder is positioned to feed items in separated relation to the cover applicator, and an adhesive applicator is positioned to deposit adhesive between the item and the cover. In one embodiment, a first adhesive applicator applies a temporary adhesive between the item and the cover, and a second adhesive applicator deposits a second adhesive between the item and the signature. In another embodiment, a first cover feeder feeds outer covers and a second cover feeder feeds inner covers.
