    • A reduced area delay circuit and method are disclosed. The delay circuit uses a constant current source and a constant current drain to charge and discharge a capacitor and thus control the delay time of the delay circuit. The constant current source and drain can be implemented using current mirrors formed by configuring MOSFET transistors in a common source configuration. The delay circuit method includes the steps of receiving an input signal, delaying the input signal by using a constant current source or drain in combination with a capacitor, and then buffering the voltage on the capacitor using two inverters. A programmable delay circuit is also disclosed by adding additional pairs of current mirrors to the delay circuit and selectively enabling the pairs to adjust the delay time.

    • A heat exchanger and mounting structure therefor for use in connection with incinerators, for example, the heat exchanger formed of a ceramic wheel with a central core and an annular portion with gas passages extending axially therethrough. The ceramic wheel is mounted at the central core with a mounting means which comprises first and second wedge members in abutting relationship with opposite sides of the core. Means bias the wedge members towards each other so that the core is resiliently held substantially under compression between the two wedge members to eliminate tension stresses on the ceramic wheel due to thermal expansion differences between the ceramic wheel and the mounting structure therefor. The mounting structure includes a first shaft secured to the first wedge member and a second shaft, tubular in shape and concentrically mounted on the first shaft, the second shaft being secured to the second wedge member. The shafts are supported on the cool side of the heat exchanger wheel by a pair of bearings. Cooling air is circulated through the interior of both of the shafts and through the bearings to keep the mounting shafts and the bearings as cool as possible.

    • A portable potty apparatus comprises a base unit which includes a top base surface and a bottom base surface. A seat unit is hingedly connected to the top base surface. A plurality of folding legs are connected to the bottom base surface. The seat unit includes a seat ring. The top base surface includes a bag ring reception groove for receiving the top portion of a bag holder. A sealing or clamping member attaches the bag holder to the base unit underneath the seat ring. A disposable bag for collecting human waste is adapted to be supported in the bag holder in proximity to the seat ring and the seat unit. The folding legs include a front leg and a pair of rears. Each of the front leg and the rear legs includes a leg hinge portion which is received in a complimentary leg hinge reception portion in the base unit. A top cover is provided for connection to the base unit. The top cover includes top cover lock tabs, and the base unit includes lock tab reception slots for receiving the top cover lock tabs. A bottom cover is also provided for connection to the base unit. The bottom cover includes bottom cover lock tabs which fit into the lock tab reception slots. The same cover may be used as the top cover or as the bottom cover.

    • A drying oven for painted surfaces wherein the work is heated and dried by heated, high pressurized air blown against the work as it passes through the oven. A plurality of elongated pipes, each of which have a plurality of nozzle openings therealong, direct the air against the work. The heat of incineration of the solvents stripped from the work is recovered for makeup heated air to the furnace. One or more ceramic rotary heat exchangers are used to transfer the heat from the incineration exhaust gases to the fresh air. Energy required for circulating air through the furnace is minimized by supplying makeup air with a fan to a cold side of the rotary ceramic heat exchanger.

    • The a timer circuit and oscillator are disclosed. The timer circuit is similar in functionality to a '555 timer circuit but uses few transistors. The timer circuit has two differential pairs of transistors, three current mirrors, two selectable current sources, and one inverter. The two differential pairs of transistors, three current mirrors, two selectable current sources, and one inverter are arranged to receive an IN+ voltage, an IN voltage, and a IN− voltage. From these inputs a Q and a Q(bar) output is generated. This timing circuit can be used to generate an oscillator by connecting a capacitor, a current source, and current drain to the IN voltage.
