The transceiver device includes a reference transceiver, a plurality of remaining transceivers, and a plurality of transmission calibration paths connecting the remaining transceivers to the reference transceiver for transmission calibration of the remaining transceivers. An envelope detector included in the reference transceiver is shared with the remaining transceivers. When implementing a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) transceiver in a single chip, the chip size and manufacturing cost of the MIMO transceiver device can be substantially reduced.

摘要： A method and apparatus for controlling a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) radio frequency (RF) transceiver having a plurality of RF blocks using a single serial programming interface (SPI) are provided. The MIMO system includes: a MIMO transceiver, having one or more input and output units and a serial interface conversion unit controlling the input and output units; and a controller, which controls the MIMO transceiver. The serial interface conversion unit receives control data from the controller via a serial programming interface (SPI), decodes the received control data to have a format appropriate for controlling the input and output units, and encodes data received from the input and output units to be compatible with the SPI. Accordingly, it is possible to realize a small-sized MIMO system having a simple structure and to reduce the probability of errors occurring in the process of controlling a plurality of RF blocks of the MIMO system.

The local oscillation frequency generation apparatus includes: an oscillation unit which comprises a plurality of VCOs that provide at least two local oscillation signals having different frequencies for modulating/demodulating RF signals in at least two frequency bands; a PLL which locks the frequencies of the local oscillation signals provided by the VCOs; a first switch which selects one of the local oscillation signal provided the VCOs according to a frequency band of a RF signal; a frequency conversion unit which converts the frequency of the selected local oscillation signal; and a phase shift unit which generates I-phase and Q-phase local oscillation signals by shifting the phase of a signal output by the frequency conversion unit.

The apparatus for transmitting multiple signals inclusively includes a single-sideband signal synthesis unit which synthesizes single-sideband signals having predetermined bands to generate an inclusive single-sideband signal which includes the bands of the single-sideband signals; a main modulation unit which modulates an inclusive single-sideband signal with a primary carrier frequency to generate an inclusive double-sideband signal where the primary carrier frequency is the center frequency; a main band pass filter which allows only any one single-sideband signal of an inclusive double-sideband signal to generate an inclusive single-sideband signal where a primary carrier frequency is an edge frequency of the inclusive band; and an inclusive single-sideband signal transmission unit which transmits an inclusive single-sideband signal. By transmitting and receiving multiple signals inclusively in one channel, the apparatus can efficiently process transmission and reception of multiple signals.
