    • According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention a network apparatus may be provided, which network apparatus may include a detecting device, a selecting device, a receiving device, a determining device and a sending device. The detecting device may be adapted to detect a condition for a handover. The selecting device may be adapted to select a first group, wherein the first group includes at least one first target apparatus member. The receiving device may be adapted to receive a second group, wherein the second group may include at least one second target apparatus member. The determining device may be adapted to determine a difference group of the first target apparatus members and the second target apparatus members. The selecting device may be adapted to select at least one target apparatus member of the difference group. The sending device may be adapted to send a preparation information to the at least one selected target apparatus member of the difference group.

    • According to one example embodiment, a method may include determining whether each of a plurality of target base stations is capable of providing a fast ranging opportunity to a mobile station served by the serving base station, and, for each of the plurality of target base stations which is capable of providing the fast ranging opportunity to the mobile station, determining an action time after which the target base station can send an uplink map to the mobile station, the uplink map indicating when the mobile station should send a fast ranging request. The method may also include sending a handover message to the mobile station, the handover message indicating whether each of the plurality of target base stations is capable of providing the fast ranging opportunity to the mobile station and, for each of the plurality of target base stations which is capable of providing the fast ranging opportunity to the mobile station, indicating the action time after which the target base station can send the uplink map to the mobile station.

    • After a successful authentication in a femto system, a home base station management system is used to send configuration data to a home base station and manage the home base station over a secured management connection. The configuration data stored in the management system is classified into two types: a) Device-related configuration data, which are indexed by a device ID; and b) subscriber/user-related configuration data, which are indexed by a subscriber ID. The management system sets up a binding relationship between device ID of the home base station and the subscriber/user identity of the USIM/SIM installed in the home base station. Then the management system generates full configuration data for the home base station based on the combination of the binded IDs. In other words, the full configuration data contains device-related configuration data selected from the classified configuration data based on the binded device ID, and user-related configuration data selected from the classified configuration data based on the binded subscriber/user ID. The management system then sends this full configuration data to the home base station.
