    • A hydraulic power steering system for a vehicle, e.g., an electrohydraulic power steering system for a motor vehicle, includes a servo valve, the relative movement of whose control parts actuates a piston rod of a servo cylinder and changes at least one steering angle of a wheel which is operatively connected to the piston rod, and additionally has an electric servo motor which drives a rack with the servo cylinder for adjusting the steering angle of the wheel in the same direction. In order to provide an electrohydraulic power steering system which is as compactly arranged as possible in the region of its actuator and may be used flexibly for different classes of vehicle, the action of the rack and the piston rod of the servo cylinder is combined, in a parallel arrangement with one another, on an addition member for jointly adjusting the steering angle of the wheel.

    • The invention relates to a hydraulic power steering system (1) for a vehicle, in particular an electrohydraulic power steering system for a motor vehicle, having a servo valve (2), the relative movement of whose control parts actuates a piston rod (3) of a servo cylinder (4) and changes at least one steering angle (β) of a wheel (5) which is operatively connected to the piston rod (3). The power steering system (1) additionally has an electric servo motor (6) which drives a rack (7) with the servo cylinder (4) for the purpose of adjusting the steering angle of the wheel (5) in the same direction.In order to provide an electrohydraulic power steering system which is as compactly designed as possible in the region of its actuator and can be used flexibly for different classes of vehicle, it is provided according to the invention to combine the action of the rack (7) and the piston rod (3) of the servo cylinder (4), in a parallel arrangement with one another, on an addition member (8) for the purpose of jointly adjusting the steering angle of the wheel (5).

Furthermore, an adjustment bushing comprising an adjustment section is disposed in the servo cylinder, the valve plunger being moved against this section upon approaching an axial limit position, thereby opening the bypass channel. The adjustment bushing is clamped into the servo cylinder, yet held displaceably, wherein, on the adjustment bushing, a sealing section is provided, which is to be moved into a sealing position with the working piston so as to interrupt the flow connection between the pressure chambers.

    • A device is for measuring an angular movement in a vehicle steering system. A shaft, whose angular movement is to be measured, is rotationally mounted in a frame. Positioned on the shaft is an axially displaceable element, which is connected to the shaft via a geared connection that converts the angular movement of the shaft into a longitudinal movement. The geared connection may be a screw thread or a screw-like, sliding-block guide or a recirculating ball screw, etc. The axially displaceable element is axially guided with the aid of a longitudinal guide prestressed in the radial direction and, in particular, by a frame-side component of the longitudinal guide. A detection device made up of a transducer on the axially displaceable element and a sensor on the frame detects the longitudinal movement of the axially displaceable element. In order to render the geared connection, together with the longitudinal guide, backlash-free, it is provided that the frame-side component rest against the axially displaceable element on first oblique surfaces that extend at an angle to each other and in the axial direction of the axially displaceable element, and that the axially displaceable element and the shaft mesh in a backlash-free manner via second oblique surfaces of the geared connection. The first oblique surfaces and the second oblique surfaces have the same inclination directions with respect to each other.
