    • Systems and methods for allowing and blocking data packets sent to and from browser software applications and non-browser software applications operated on a computing device are described. The systems can use whitelisting based on the maker of a non-browser software application being a trusted source of data packets sent to the non-browser application or based on consensus by one or more consensus trusted computing devices that connections made by an URL open in a browser software application are correct and trusted. The system uses a firewall to block data packets to and from web addresses that are not owned by the maker of the application, are not trusted by the consensus trusted computing devices, or are blocked by selection by a user of the computing device. The system can also include a health monitor engine to ensure a kernel drive of the system is operational and not disabled by malware.

    • A method, system, and apparatus for a phonic learning method implementable on a mobile computing device with a motion sensor are disclosed. A processor generates a phonic object. The phonic object comprises a visual portion and an audible portion. The phonic object is an element of an alphabet, and the audible portion is the phoneme associated with the phonic object. The phonic object and at least one interaction object are displayed. A motion sensor generates a signal representative of the movement of the mobile computing device. The signal is converted into movement of either the phonic object or the interaction object on the screen. When the interaction object and the phonic object interact, an audible signal representative of the audible portion of the phoneme is generated.

    • Systems and methods for controlling an output of a light fixture. A light fixture of one construction includes four or more light sources and is configured to produce an output that mimics the color temperature changes of an ideal black-body radiator based on one or more input parameters. The input parameters correspond to, for example, a desired target color and an intensity for the desired target color. A white point setting is determined based on the one or more input parameters and a relationship between the one or more input parameters and the color temperature of an ideal black-body radiator. A color temperature transform is selected based on the white point color temperature setting, and is used to determine a color coordinate corresponding to a modified target color. A set of light source output values corresponding to the modified target color are identified, and the light sources are driven to the identified output values.
