摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a formed product bound with a fast curing solid phenol resin. SOLUTION: A powdery phenol resin in combination with a powdery addition polymer selected from a group comprising addition polymers of one or more kinds of monomers selected from a group of a vinyl ester of an unbranched or branched 1-12C carboxylic acid, an ester of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid with an unbranched or branched 1-12C alcohol, a vinyl aromatic compound, a vinyl halide, an olefin and a diene, stabilized by a polyvinyl alcohol and a hydroxy group-containing protective colloid is mixed with a substrate to be stuck or applied on the substrate to be stuck. The mixed or applied resin is cured at high temperature and optionally under high pressure to cure the resin and to provide the objective formed product.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fibers binder overcoming insufficiency of strength, high drying cost, insufficient flowing properties and uneven distribution of binder. SOLUTION: This powdery crosslinkable fibers binder composition contains (a) a powdery copolymer (having a glass transition temperature higher than 400 deg.C or 60,000-300,000 molecular weight) obtained by emulsion polymerization of at least one kind of ethylenic unsaturated monomer having at least one kind of monomer from the group of vinyl ester, acrylate, methacrylate, vinyl aromatic compound and vinyl chloride and a carboxylic group, and drying and (b) at least one kind of powdery mixture having at least two pieces of epoxide- or isocyanate group and having 40-150 deg.C melting point.

SOLUTION: This powdery compsn. consists of an ethylenic unsatd. monomer and a polymer produced from gelatin. When an emulsifier (a) having ionic and nonionic groups is used as a stabilizer or only an ionic emulsifier (b) is used as a stabilizer, the polymer is produced by carrying out copolymn. in the presence of a comonomer having a substituent selected among -COOH, -OH, SO3 , -NCH2 OH and -C=O or emulsion polymn. with either of the emulsifier (a) or (b). For example, styrene, butyl acrylate or methacrylic acid, etc., are preferable as the monomer component.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber-binding power formulation to be used for durably setting fibrous materials. SOLUTION: This fiber-binding powder formulation comprises (a) polymeric powder based on a polyvinyl alcohol-stabilized polymer of one or more kinds of monomers selected from the group consisting of vinyl esters of 1-12C (non) branched carboxylic acids, esters of (meth)acrylic acid and 1-12C (non)branched alcohols, aromatic vinyl compounds, vinyl halides, olefins and dienes, and (b) an inorganic compound solid at room temperature and chemically bindable to the OH groups of the polyvinyl alcohol after putting the powder (a) into water. Application of this powder formulation to a fibrous material affords a fibrous form of high tensile strength and heat resistance.

Date May 18, 1995Process for the stiffening of textile or leather materials, includes (a) applying an aqueous polymer dispersion to a textile structure on the basis of a woven or nonwoven fabric, or a leather material; (b) drying the textile structure or leather material; and (c) the stiffening material thus produced is deformed and glued with the textile and leather material to be stiffened, in which an aqueous dispersion of a two-phase, sealable emulsion graft copolymer having a soft phase and a hard phase is applied. The hard phase has a glass transition temperature of Tg of at least 50 DEG C. and includes monomer units such as methyl methacrylate, styrene, diisopropyl fumarate and vinyl chloride. The soft phase has a glass transition temperature Tg of at least 30 DEG C. lower than the Tg of the hard phase, and the soft phase has monomer units such as methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, isopropyl acrylate, n-butyl acrylate, t-butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, vinyl acetate, vinyl propionate, isopropenyl acetate, vinyl laurate, vinyl esters of saturated, alpha -branched monocarboxylic acids having 9 to 10 carbon atoms, ethylene, propylene or 1,3-butadiene.
