    • A compressor, in particular for air conditioning systems in motor vehicles, having a housing, a housing sealing cover, a drive shaft with bearings and a drive device for pistons that are displaced back and forth. The drive device transfers the rotational displacement of the drive shaft into the back-and-forth displacement of the pistons. The compressor also includes a cylinder block, in which the pistons that are displaced back and forth take in and compress coolant, a valve device, in addition to a valve plate with intake and discharge valves comprising intake and discharge chambers for an intake pressure zone and a discharge pressure zone. A cylinder head may be a separate element from the housing, in pot-shaped form, or the housing sealing cover. The intake and discharge chambers, the valve device, and the cylinder block may be situated in the closed side of the pot-shaped housing.

    • A moisture vapor permeable sheet material is comprised of a homogeneous admixture of a synthetic polymer material and a protein derivative. The sheet material is moisture vapor permeable and non-penetrable by liquid water. The sheet material additionally can have coated thereon a pressure sensitive adhesive which is comprised of a snythetic organic polymer adhesive and a soluble protein derivative in solid solution. Sheet material is formed by providing a homogeneous fluid solution of a soluble protein derivative and a synthetic organic polymer in a solvent. The protein derivative has a pH level compatible with the pH level of the organic polymer. Film is formed from the homogeneous fluid solution and the solvent is removed from the film to form the sheet material which is moisture vapor permeable. When the sheet material includes an adhesive, the adhesive is coated as a fluid solution in a solvent on one side of the sheet material.

    • Solid and liquid, especially high-boiling, impurities are removed from a gas stream containing solvent vapors in such a manner that the gas stream is washed with the condensate of one or more solvent vapors contained in the gas stream, preferably with the fraction which has the greatest affinity for the impurities to be removed. After a distillatory separation of the impurities, as befits the goals of the process, the solvent or solvent mixture used for the washing process is returned again into the process, preferably after it has been removed from the gas stream by condensation and/or adsorption. The gas stream can be returned into a vaporization chamber where it is again charged with solvent vapors.
