A method of the invention receives events from the real time event stream where events define a plurality of transactions to be identified. Each of the transactions includes a first event and a second event; the first event has a first latency relative to the real time event stream and the second event has a second latency relative to the real time event stream. The first event is identified from the received real time event stream, and a time is record when the first event is received. The method determines a time period during which the second event occurs as a function of the first latency, the recorded time of the first event, and the second latency. The transaction having the first and second events is identified based on the determined time period of the second event.

A method of the invention compiles a pattern description where the pattern description defines a series of a first event and a second event relating to the first event. The first event is received and includes a type parameter data, a time parameter data, and a substance parameter data. A system of the invention includes a script component for associating or attaching a first script to the first event. The first script defines the type, time, and substance parameters of the second event as a function of the parameters of the first event according to the pattern description. A pattern recognition engine executes the attached first script and the executed script identifies the second event and thereby identifies the pattern.

The visual items may be rendered in a data driven way with each constructed using a corresponding parameterized view component. The parameters then drive logic associated with the view component to thereby construct a visual item which may then be rendered. The rendering engine then renders the visual item with the visual cue. The user may then interact with the rendered visual item. Such interaction might cause some external action to occur, might change which visual items are displayed, and/or might change a value of the input parameters of one or more view components used to generate displayed visual items.

摘要： A business intelligence (BI) document preserves references to identities and formats of remote data sources and allows a local computing device to offload analytical operations to remote data sources. The BI document specifies a graph of entities connected by directed edges from the output of one entity to an input of another entity. An entity, for example, can represent without limitation a data structure, an external data source, a control element, an external event source, a visualization, or an update service. The entities of a BI document at a local computing device can reference data at an original data source—rather than extracting data from the original data source to a preferred local datastore. An entity of the BI document can direct a remote data source to execute transformations on the remote data before returning a solution to the local computing device.

摘要： The use of a data structure that is a symbolic representation of a keyed array that has an array variable and an associated key variable. There is a correlation maintained between the variable type of the array variable and the corresponding keying set that is to be bound to the associated key variable. The keyed array may remain unbound thereby being simply symbolically represented, or the keying set may be bound to the key variable more immediately. In one embodiment, once the keying set is bound to the key variable, data may be bound to the array variable itself. This may be repeated for multiple keyed arrays. The data from multiple keyed arrays may be operated upon to about another array of values, which may then be aggregated in some way.
