    • Systems and methods for conditioning sewage having entrained solids which clog sewage pumps, are disclosed. Systems include a sewage pump, a chopper pump, and a mixing nozzle connected to the chopper pump. Specifically, the sewage pump is a non-clog centrifugal pump having an inlet for drawing fluid into the pump and an outlet for discharging the fluid into a pipe, while the chopper pump has an inlet for drawing fluid into the pump and an outlet for discharging the fluid into the wet-well. The chopper pump may be positioned either in or adjacent to the wet-well. The mixing nozzle fluidly coupled to the chopper pump discharge, is positioned in the wet-well. Methods include the steps of positioning a chopper pump within the wet-well, drawing in liquid sewage, including the entrained solids, reducing the size of entrained solids, and discharging the sewage and reduced size solids into the wet-well.

    • A surface foam diffuser and digester tank system prevents and/or suppresses the formation of foam during digestion. The system includes a first nozzle disposed above a top surface of the at least partially liquid contents, a splash plate positioned adjacent to the first nozzle outlet, and a second nozzle disposed below the top surface of the at least partially liquid contents for suppressing foaming in the large processing tanks. The system nozzles each have an inlet for receiving pressurized liquid and an outlet for ejecting a liquid stream into the tank, the depth of the second nozzle and the direction of the liquid stream there from being such that rotation of the top surface is facilitated. The spray of the first nozzle, as dispersed by the splash plate, reduces foam on at least a portion of the top surface, with the rotation of the top surface bringing each portion of the top surface to eventually fall within the reducing spray.

    • A nozzle system and method for mixing contents in a tank and scouring surfaces of debris and sediment is disclosed. The system and method are capable of use either below or above a tank's liquid content surface as well as being adaptable to flow channels and other surfaces which may become impeded with sediment and debris. The nozzle system includes at least one nozzle receiving fluid from a pump, and a splash plate positioned to deflect a discharged stream from the nozzle in a spread and downward direction. The number and positioning of additional nozzles in the system can be determined by mapping the discharge of each splash plate equipped nozzle and arranging for the desired area of coverage.
