    • The invention relates to a method for producing a press felt (1) for a fiber web producing and/or processing machine. The method according to the invention comprises the following steps: a) making a load-bearing basic structure (2), which is especially produced of yarn, available, b) making a first and a second non-woven fiber layer (3, 4) available, c) imprinting a polymer material pattern (7) onto the first or second non-woven fiber layer (3, 4) so that the polymer material pattern partially covers the same, d) arranging the first non-woven fiber layer (3) on a side of the basic structure and e) arranging the second non-woven fiber layer (4) on the first non-woven fiber layer in such a manner that the polymer material pattern is arranged between the two non-woven fiber layers (3, 4). The invention further relates to a press felt (1) produced according to said method.

    • The invention relates to a method for producing a polymer topographic pattern on a continuous strip which has a longitudinal orientation and transverse orientation perpendicular thereto, the pattern being applied to an area of the continuous strip to be imprinted by means of an application device and the application device moving in relation to the strip in a basic movement which is parallel to the transverse orientation of the strip to produce the pattern. The invention is characterized in that during production of the pattern i) the position of the continuous strip parallel to its transverse orientation, especially relative to a stationary reference position, is measured and ii) the position of the application device is changed by a correction movement parallel to the transverse orientation of the continuous strip when the position of the continuous strip parallel to its transverse orientation is changed, the correction movement being superimposed to the basic movement.
