    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave antenna probe with a sufficiently high-strength structure for direct insertion into a tissue without requiring an introducer or a catheter and simultaneously generating a controllable and predictable heating pattern.
      SOLUTION: A microwave antenna assembly 10 is used for a microwave energy therapy with a proximal irradiation part 22 having an inner conductor and an outer conductor, and each conductor extends through this proximal irradiation part, and the inner conductor is placed within the outer conductor forming a proximal irradiation part, and a distal irradiation part 20 is placed at a distal position of the proximal part and integrated as a single piece with the inner conductor to give the distal irradiation part, and a connecting material 18 having a thickness in the longitudinal direction and at least a part of the connecting material is placed between the proximal part and the distal part, thus the inner conductor forms the connecting member extending through the connecting member.
