SOLUTION: This system 10 intended for use in a passenger cabin of automobiles is equipped with a generally rectangular easing 12 so that it can be built into a space half the size of a dashboard 14. That part of air that flows in a first direction F1 moves past an evaporator in a direction generally perpendicular to a first plane X, deflected by a flex passageway 32 that forms part of a deflector. This air current flows in a second direction F2 that is generally perpendicular to a second plane Y. At least part of this air current passes through a heating radiator 34, deflected by a partition board 46 that forms part of the deflector before being sent in a third direction F3. This permits the system to be easily mounted in the dashboard 14 of a left- or right-hand- drive vehicle.
